Green Kingfisher

Green Kingfishers are common residents at Tapir Valley. They nest in burrows along steep, eroded hillsides. When they have nestlings, the adults will zip up and down the stream, hunting fish to deliver to the young.

The male (shown above) has a red on its breast, while the female has a green necklace (shown below).

The female below was delivering fish to young in the burrow.
